thanks adrian, I agree, I was very successful with SPS until it started to really grow out, then I was having all kinds of issues keeping my Alk up, I had all kinds of trouble with the reactor, so for now, that's offline, as my Alk draw is nothing like it was with a tank full of SPS, so water...

only thing I can think of is Fish Planet in Deerfield, it's a bit prolly a 15 min drive from riverwoods

no issue, just that you can dim one and not the other, but no big deal. don't know your setup, but aesthetically, it might look weird having two different lights hanging over your tank, but functionally it would be fine.
