    Breaking down sale

Chiller Chiller 1/3 hp Prime Tower Chiller. 2 years old. Not at home now so I dont have a model number. It keeps my 90gl at 78 degrees just fine through the summer here where the daytime highs run in the 90's. Probably ran 10-15 minutes every 2 hours.

    Breaking down sale

I have a 90gl acrylic tank with about 60lbs of live rock and a sump that I am going to be breaking down.... I'm willing to let it go cheap as a pkg or in parts. If interested in parts, I need to get the live rock out first. Looking for $2 / lb for live rock $100 takes it all. I've had no...

    Quietest PC Fan

Thanks folks. The Noctua's that Uncle listed have some of the lowest listed dba ratings available. I just ordered one and will report back. Thanks Again.

    Freeze Thaw

Toddrtrex is correct. I am still certified (or certifiable) either way, the above notations are correct. The food will go bad quickly if left in the danger zone for any lengthy period of time. In general, follow the same rules for what you feed the tank as you would for your own consumption...

    Quietest PC Fan

I'm going to change out fans over my tank. They've been great at cooling, just a bit noisy. I'm using 2ea small CPU type fans over a 12gl nano. They sound like little wind storms. They don't come on that often. Wanting to change to a larger, more silent fan? Anybody have any suggestions...

How would you stock a 120-125 gallon reef tank?!

A worthy group to investigate. Several of my favorites are in there.

? about MH lights and heat issues...

It's not that I'm not a fan of the 150's. I may not have been clear. 150's are fine. You just need to be careful of what you may want down the road. You mentioned SPS corals in your original post. 150's for SPS at any depth more than 12-16 inches is going to be a delicate balancing act...

    Best filter option, QUICK!

I believe you are on the right track. Get the best skimmer you can. Keep researching and make sure you get it the way you want it the first time around. Yes the rock will be fine in the tank with no other real activity. Make sure the SG (salinity) is good 1.025 - 1.026, the temp is right and...

? about MH lights and heat issues...

Depending on a few other variables, you will end up needing a chiller with 250's for sure on that size tank. 150's maybe not. You can most likely be successful with SPS in the top portions of the tank with 150's depending on they type of bulb you use. Variables mentioned above include...but...

    Best filter option, QUICK!

You will without a doubt need a RODI water purifier to make new salt water with and for evaporation water replacement. As far as filter material, you will need live rock. Dont bother with another canister filter. They are not worth it. MANY reef and fish tanks (if not almost all) are run...

    RO/DI Unit Hookup Question

Look around the water purifiers (near plumbing) at HD or Lowes. Of course, you could check the sponsors at the bottom of the main forum page. Filterguys etc..

    Tank background Color Question

At one time I thought about painting the bottom 1/3 black, then fade from dark to light blue moving toward the top of the tank to create more depth ? Never did it but it's a thought.
