I noticed one of these a while back on a piece of live rock and it died when I was on vacation in Florida and I found these a few days ago and they appear to be the same thing. can someone tell me what this is?

same thing with a chalice coral I got recently and my long spine black sea urchin also ate a large chunk of a new mushroom coral.
