    Jebao Cross Flow Pump

My cp-40 is 6 months old and started making loud noise. I took it apart and 1 of the white silicone/rubber rectangle things was broken. Did anyone find a place to get parts for these? I bought a new one because I couldn't stand the noise and hooked it up to my old ones controller and it's...

    DIY Stands Template and Calculator

Thanks, I'm surprised myself how good it turned out. No, I'm just using it for storage. I'm not having a sump. I get asked why all the time lol. I'm replacing my 29 year old 55g reef with a 75g. I have a mini reef h.o.b. filter that was made for a reef already on there and it's like a h.o.b...

    DIY Stands Template and Calculator

Heres mine almost done. We just have to put the laminate sides on it yet. My hubby and I never built anything before this. He built it and I sanded and stained it. I did the boards individually so it would be easier. I used general finishes georgian cherry stain and gf arm r seal topcoat. We...

Yes the green screw boards are used to attach the pink boards. On the first page of this thread some people used pocket screws instead of the green boards to screw the pink boards in. It all depends on your skill and which way you want to do it. We used the green screw boards because it's...

My hubby and I wondered the same thing about the green boards until I reread the description lol. The green boards are just screw boards. Boards there so you can screw the other boards to them. So they don't have to go all the way to the top or bottom. It's an easy way to build the frame. kass

Super Reef Octopus LX2000S or XP1000S? (HOB)

I'm wondering about the xp1000s cone h.o.b. for my 75g I wanted this one because it's a cone and has the bubble blaster pump. I did also wonder how long the pump would last because it is on the outside to. I did'nt do a vinegar bath either on my int1000 (which is on my 150g) and its been over 4...

Thanks thats what my hubby says but I wanted to make sure. I wasnt sure if it was there to keep the wood from bowing. I'd rather have a board there but now he has the board on the front so dunno if he has room for the drill to put one in anymore. He made it according to the drawing and I didnt...

    DIY Stands Template and Calculator

I have another question. My hubby built me this frame 2ftx4ft for a 75g but we are reversing it and putting the tank in the back so the extra 4 inches goes in front. He did use 2x6 boards because we already had them. We are using a laminate countertop for the top. I'm wondering if we need the...

Super Reef Octopus LX2000S or XP1000S? (HOB)

I would like to know as well as I was thinking about getting the cone myself. The things I wondered about is it looks like it would stick out the top pretty high. I have room but might be kinda unsightly. What I really wondered is how much noise it makes? I have the Reef Octopus SUPER SRO...

    DIY Stands Template and Calculator

Ohhh ok I didnt know the bottom was a 2x4. My hubby had a bunch of 2x6's laying around so were using all 2x6's. I couldnt figure out where he got -9 lol I thought it had to be -11 if you use 2 2x6's but wanted to make sure before I told my hubby what size to cut them. Thanks alot kass

    DIY Stands Template and Calculator

prolly a dumb blonde question but I dont understand the purple boards according to the calculator. I want my frame 37 inches high. It says if your using 2x6's to take the heighth and deduct 9 inches. 2x6's are 5 1/2 inches each so wouldnt you deduct 11 inches? So do I cut them 26 or 28 inches...

    DIY Stands Template and Calculator

Yes thanks everyone for helping . I think we can just build it according to that drawing reversed pretty much. I thought the splashguard took some of the space in the back but it actually doesnt. I set the countertop on my coffee table and we put the tank on it just to see the measurements. Its...
