How do I silence my overflow?

appreciate the sentiment but that aint't going to happen. when you sign the contract for them to build the system their 10 pages of lawyer speak says that you understand as long as they build to the specs provided anything else is your problem. the fact that I didn't check whether the...

How do I silence my overflow?

so I turned up the flow rate on the return pumps & this dramatically reduced any noise but you can still hear it. I understand the value of an overflow box from the perspective of preventing a tank overflow but does installing one also guarantee a silent operation? Guess I need to research who...

How do I silence my overflow?

I can remove the gate valve on the input side - its wide open anyway. the return pumps are variable flow rates so I should be able to dial them back if necessary vice gate valves.

What could be attacking my anemones?

What could be attacking my anemones?

There appears to be something that comes out at night and chews up the foot of any new anemone I try to put in teh tank. I just introduced a nice green long teneacxle this past Saturday and when I got home yesterday you could see that the foot had be what looked like it was chewed on in...

    Mushrooms bleaching

So what would cause this? I have purple, red & fuzzy green mushrooms & some of both the purple & red are bleaching out. The fuzzy seems unaffected. Tank parameters seem ok: SG 1.026, Ca 500, Alk 8.0, Pho .1, Nirates 0, temp 78.

Something attacked my new LT anenome

ok, thx. I found a 20" bristle worm in my tank about 5 months ago & managed to get rid of it so it's possible there's another one in there ... It was sitting on the sandbed nestled up against the rockwork but not on it. I only moved it onto the rocks after it got chewed up to try and protect...

Something attacked my new LT anenome

Anybody aware of any critters which would attach an anenome siting on the sandbed attached to a rock? Got a new LT Ben about 7" across a week ago and this morning I found it with its base all chewed to help. I moved onto the rocks but don't know if it will make it. I've had 2 bubble tips on...

Help! Mt frogspawn is dying one head at a time

About a week ago I started having one head every day or so on my 25 head colony shrink and then simply fall off. After several these I decided to break up the colony to see if I could isolate whatever it was and keep kit from spreading. I ended up with 3 pieces plus leaving a piece attached to...
