Any best ways or ideas as to how to get this pump positioned horizontally on a peninsula style tank?
On the bottom tank floor (if bare bottom) or getting a custom acrylic mount are the only ways I can think of..... any other ideas out there?
The poll says most voted for glass, but in this thread most are supporting acrylic.
Reasons why I use glass:
1) Glass does not distort over time.
2) Glass is way harder to scratch. Those saying that glass can't be buffed are not wrong; but you are FAR less likely to scratch a glass tank...
I appreciate the help. I wouldn't see why it would HAVE to be Fergon but then again Randy Farley knows an infinite amount more about chemistry then I do so that's why I was wondering if it had to be those specific name brands.
BTW is Randy still around here?
Can any iron tablets be used or do they have to be specifically from Fergeson? Canada doesn't seem t stock that brand so I was curious if another brand would do. I can get these easily in stores:
This is not a welded steel stand and wood and screws over time loose some of how 'tight' they are as wood expands, contracts. This tank is also in a classroom (unassumingly) with kids that will sometimes lean against the tank which will cause some lateral forces that again you do not...
