Running radiums on hqi cube ballasts

I have 2-250w mh above my tank. I tried the panorama 48" strip and it wasn't visible at all. I got the same results with 24 rb 3w kit from rapid. It was completely undetectable. I'm not sure how many watts it would take to sufficiently compete with mhs. Just something to consider.

Coralrx could have been the cause. Red dragons are dip friendly.

A significant alk swing can definently cause stn. If it were me, I'd frag off a healthy piece well into healthy tissue. If it does get worse or turn into rtn, u have your safety frag. Hard to tell because I'm on a cell but it looks like necrosis.

I would just build around it using standard 2x4 and moisture resistant drywall. When/ if you move, rip the drywall down and demo the framing with a hammer.

How many 3w rb Crees would it take to make a noticeable difference with a pair of 250w radiums?

I run mh's on a timer. I'm getting ready to order a few rapid kits purely for supplimental purposes. I'd like to have one strip ramp up, then the second ramp up, then mh's on. Followed by the opposite ramp down. My question is what are my controller options considering I'm not very tech savy...

It's a 75g standard. It has a large rock structure about 12-14 below the water surface and a huge canopy so I have quite a bit of give on how high or low to suspend any fixture.

Depends on your sps choices. You could get away with putting light loving acros, millis, etc up top and less light demanding corals like choice montis etc down low, and stick with a 250. But if u want to keep acros etc high and low I'd go with a 400. It's gives you more flexibility, but of...
