New Ca reactor design with pics and drawings

lol, i did a similar thing with my ball valves, did plan for one thing and now they still sit in a box of old plumbing parts. i like how you fabbed up a lid that you can open and close easily. i ended up having to silcone mine shut since it would always leak, well that and i run my reactor under...

    New Hydor pump

yeah that is what i told the guy when i was loking at them. hydor might not be placing their name on all the pumps though. this company is thinking of getting exlcusive rights to putting their label on hydor's pump. should make for some interesting pricing games Tim

    New Hydor pump

i dont think that the water flows through the mag. i would say that the mj mods require DIY'ing something, but you get more flow and have to DIY a mounting method. these pumps work out of the box and mount nicely, just a little bulky on the mount. Tim

New Ca reactor design with pics and drawings

looks good, also looks lke you made the same mistake as i did, place unions on the pump but no ball valves. :D looks like you are gonna need some 75lbs of media. these, like all ca rx, need to be full to work well, otherwise you will just be dumping co2 ladden water back to your tank and use...

    New Hydor pump

the one i saw, i think was the smallest version and it was about the size of a coke can, maybe a tiny bit smaller, but it is also egg-shaped. the bigger model, of course, are larger too Tim

    New Hydor pump

ok i have some news for ya on these big pumps. notice i did not say little pump. I have a source that is workng directly with hydor, hence they already have these pumps, not for sale, just to see how "they" like them. CONS: pumps are very large vs. gph pumped, they all rattle on start up...

My own AEFW (Acro Eating Flatworms) images

stoney was the one who did a bunch of test and found 4x to be a good dose to kill of the bugs in a 20min dip. Well even after isolating the survivers in the prop tank i am still getting deaths, must just be too many changes for the already sressed corals, well i just hope i keep a few things in...

My own AEFW (Acro Eating Flatworms) images

stoney, the water is crystal clear. i dont know what went wrong, or what broke down into what, i just know that it didnt work out well. fishypets, he does have sps, but i am not worried about introducing AEFW to his system because nothing could have survived that treatment, i also didnt bring...

    AEFW fluke in tank treatment

oh yes, my chin is up and always will be. i just finished breaking oof all my LE encrusting montis, looks like i will have a lot of frags in the future. but now that the display is empty of corals, i am already thinking about re-aquascaping it for the future to have better flow patterns and to...

My own AEFW (Acro Eating Flatworms) images

well there is no quiting in me, so i will place the few montis that i have into the prop tank, a bare tank with eggcrate in it. Then let the display run its course and in a month or so start to rebuild it. Thanks for taking the time to read my posts, on the optomistic side o things, my pg&e...

    AEFW fluke in tank treatment

just think though, had this worked then it would have been a breakthrough in how we treat AEFW in tank. but since it didnt, we are stuck with dipping everything. man i wish i could have a thousand cases of red bugs rather than one AEFW Tim
