My Tang looks like a puffer fish!!!! What's wrong?

I just went to work on my tank and the kohl tang that is usually fairly secretive was out. It is HUGE! My first thought was pregnancy, which was immediately followed by, wait, they lay eggs. I have Yellow Tang in the tank, as well. Nothing else has been added in months. What could be going on?

    Sump

The instructions for my megaflow bulkheads said NOT to use any silicone. Have I screwed up or are baffles and bulkheads two different things? I am new to sumps and am just installing my first after 20 years of external canister filtering, so terminology is NOT my strong point. Heck....I can't...

    Overtightened bulkhead

I got it! I took the tank off of the stand with the help of three lab students and used BOTH tools provided with the two megaflow kits to minimize stripping. One down, only a few to go! Thanks for the help guys! Stick around..... I may need more help! Really, thanks!

    Overtightened bulkhead

I can't. It is trying to strip the nut. I guess I will have to go with the channel locks and hope for the best.

New Sump setup - question one!

Indydog: They actually can't be pointed at each other. The tank overflow configuration won't allow it, and I can't point the dual nozzles at themselves simply because they are not flexible enough. I guess I will try to use the propeller to create uneven flow. Now I just have to figure out...

    Overtightened bulkhead

I used the included metal tool that came with the megaflow kit. I really got it tight. I thought I was doing well. Of course we all know what the first three letters of assume are!

    Overtightened bulkhead

Ok - In a rush and trying to make sure my bulkhead was waterwpoof, I overtightened it. I DID NOT crack the tank, I simply installed the wrong size bulkhead. Now I can't get the octagonal plastic nut off. Any suggestions? I used the alternate bulkhead that comes with the Megaflow kit that...

New Sump setup - question one!

I am trying to install a new sump on a new 125g tank after 20 years of exterior filtration and 100g. salt water tanks. Technically, that makes me a sump newbie. The Mega Flow system I purchased has dual nozzles, and they will not bend to both exit separately from the tank on opposite sides of...

    Help! Complete Makeover

My supplier can't get 72's, so he is planning on getting 8 36's to retrofit into the canopy. What kind of bulb config should I use? Or should I go to the main thread on lighting for that question?

    Help! Complete Makeover

Thanks! My biggest problem right now is getting the sump hooked up. I know that it has to be simple, but the sump came with no directions whatsoever, in a brand new box! I have the sump, two megaflow boxes (unopened), and an apropriate sized protein skimmer.

    Help! Complete Makeover

 Hey Grim: I currently have a 48 inch X 24 inch X 18 inch set up with Metal Halides over it. I have for 15 years been using magnum exterior filtration systems and I am trying to evolve. I have just bought, but not installed a new 72" 125 gal tank and the shop owner where I always...
