1/2" pvc pipe question

Approximately how much flow can 1/2" pvc pipe handle? I think I recall reading somewhere that it was close to 500gph, but I couldn't find the same site again.

That calculator will tell you how big a pipe is recommended for a given flow rate.

Ah, I thought that was only as a drain, not if there was a pump pushing water.

Oh, I see. Most pump manufacturer's have a recommended line size. What type of pump do you have?
