1/4” mesh or 1/8” mesh?

I'm looking into a mesh top but not sure whether 1/4" mesh or 1/8" mesh is better. From the perspective of lighting penetration, ease of maintenance, and of course preventing jumpers, which one is the better choice?

unless you're got some really small fish, i usually go 1/4" mesh. i did order a bunch of the 1/8 mesh at one point by accident, but after looking at it i think it was much smaller spacing than i wanted.

1/8 is too small. 1/4 is what I use

Brs did a video on the difference in light penetration between the two. Almost identical. I can't remember the name of the video but I'm sure it's not hard to find. But yes 1/4 is what I used as well

Actually I have decided to go with 1/8 after all. I’ll be getting a Red Sea Reefer mesh kit and the place that sells it locally can help me install it xD.
