100 Gallon Reef tank

Bdimas

No on 15
Some of you may know that I bought Stephans 100 gal setup from him. Well now that I'm done painting the wall that its going to be sitting in front of, im ready to start setting it up.
Im planning on doing a open style aquascape which will have colums or islands of liverock instead of the traditional wall style.
I have about 60lbs of rock curing in a tub, and another fifteen or twenty lbs of base rock. I bought a Wave2k to supplement the seaswirls that came with the tank. Im going to try and have the water and rock in by mid week.

i have some tonga branch if you want use some its great at have lots of tunnels through your rockwork. its good thick stacking branch.

So I guess reefing won out the chameleons, dart frogs, or bearded dragons? Next thing you know that 135 fresh will be coming down. :)

Sounds like it's coming along. The open rockwork sounds like a good idea, I'm not a big fan of the wall 'o rocks myself. Have you fired up that Wave 2k in the bathtub yet?

LOL!

Yeah i think im going to try and stick to one hobby for now.

Havent fired up the wave2k yet. Should be this week sometime though. I did fire up my XM 10k bulbs and they look very nice.

Bryan,

That tank is looking good man. I like the water movement that the wave 2k makes... pretty cool. I think Jesus just invited you to come over with the bone shears :D

OK here come the pics, I only took a few so far, we'll have to get some more in a month or so to see how things are progressing :)

Full tank shot - Bryan's Wave2k can be seen behind the rocks

Here is the motor and belt drive on the Wave2k, we're blocking the light with a piece of acrylic so we don'g get flash burns!

That Crocea was kinda closed up in that pic. He had only been in the tank for a few hours and was kinda stressed. He's fully open now and lovin the flow in there.

tank looks good! How is the copperband doing? My jawfish took a nose dive :( I went back into carter's and I saw the other fish i was thinking of getting had bit the dust too... so either way I might have been screwed on either fish I got!
