110 g Tall tank in the making.

Hello. I am very new to saltwater. This is my first build. I have done freshwater for a few years ending up with a 55 gallon tank. I took it apart and started researching saltwater. I need everything but a tank and a stand. I bought a 110 gallon cornor flow tank. I need a sump and a skimmer amd lighting. I wanted to save a little money with buying used. Can anyone help me? Also I live in Modesto. Is there anyone close that would like to help me?

Hi, and welcome.

There are a handful of members in the Modesto area. I'm sure someone will come along, but it's been a little slow in here lately. If you have questions about anything feel free to post them, start new topics, etc...

If you are looking for used equipment I think you'll have to be a member of RC for a bit before they give you access to the buying and selling forums. You can always cruise the local forums (BAR, MARS, NVR) to see what people have for sale.

Thanks for the responce. I wasnt trying to sell anything. I was just looking for advice and alot of help. A few spare used parts would also come in hand. I will post some pics. I had a custom stand made for my tank. Its tall and wide. I am waiting for it to be lacquered. I hope it looks good Black. I am starting out with a FOWLR until i figure out how to test my system and keep it under control. Then a mixed reef. I have wanted one since i was little kid going to my lfs. I was also wondering where some good fish stores were in the valley. There is only three in and around modesto.

there's several good stores in the bay area and down in the valley.. Fresno has some nice stores even... Sacramento has several very nice stores...
