On top of their very reasonable shipping prices, this is a great deal!

Thanks Luis, I am gonna use it. They have the most reasonable shipping I've ever encountered online, you're right! TinMan

Wow, sweet. This is a particularly good deal for anyone who wants to buy salt in bulk. (Like me.) So what if I just got rid of eight buckets of IO RCs off my front porch? Net price on ten buckets:

Reef Crystals (sale) $349.90
S&H $17.99
15% off -$52.48

total $315.40, or $31.50/bucket shipped.

My best price ever was $28 a bucket, but that was two years ago. I do think they try to amortize some of the shipping cost into the price of the stuff itself, but... this is still really good.

Thanks for noting it,

Ben

Your welcome TinMan...any way we can save a buck or two in this hobby!

Ben, The FedEx and UPS guys must hate you! Last time I ordered salt, the FedEx guy left 5 buckets on my driveway down by the curb. The funny thing is that I ordered 6 buckets. He got the 1st one on my porch and then gave up on the other 5! I work and play up in Ned occasionally...I would love to check out "Big Bertha" some time.

We better utilize this coupon code while we can...I don't know when it expires.

Hey Luis,

Funny you should mention that. My last, 12-bucket order turned into a mild fiasco. The FedEx man started hauling them to my porch (not a big distance, thankfully) and then he knocked on my door and I went out to help him. He then started complaining about how he had a limited amount of time per delivery or something and alluded to the idea that "maybe [you] should use a freight service for a delivery this big."

I told him that I didn't have control over what service they used, and then I went inside and called Fedex and lodged a complaint. I get a lot of deliveries up here, not only for Bertha but also because I prefer shopping online and because it's so annoying to drive to Boulder. Fedex, UPS, USPS... the works. I told Fedex it was unacceptable for their deliveryman to be complaining to me.

Who knows, maybe he was just having a bad day. But the nice thing is that he came by the next time (two days later, as I recall) and apologized to my wife. I think we're on the same page now and I appreciated the gesture.
