Hello fellow reefers,
It's been over a week and noticed that the clam sunk in deeper in the sandbed. There's a 3" piece of rock burry in the sandbed next to it. Tried moving it but it seems to be stuck (part rock and part bottom?) Is this a bad thing? Is the clam permanent stuck in this spot?

its a godo thing. what type of clam is it? derasa, squamosa, gigas, a hippo clams like the sand. DO NOT PULL ON IT!!! it has attached to the bottom of the tank. this means taht it is happy where it is. pulling on it could tear and kill the clam. it can be cut as far away form the shall as possible, but no not pull!

it's a 3" crocea. So does that mean he's stuck in this position meaning I can't move him without cutting the bysal? He's pretty much deep into the sandbed, the bysal is not visible.

If you have to move it take a razor blade and run it along the bottom glass of the tank like you were peeling up paint or something. I had to do this to my Squamosa and it came up pretty easily.

OK, I left it alone like the prior reefer suggested. Thanks for the razor blade tip, you've answered my question.
