1st Fish

Actually I got 2 of them. 2 Juvenile Osc Clowns from my LFS (about 3 months old) The bigger of the two is about 3/4 inch and the other is a lot smaller. They are hanging out in the quarantine tank over the powerhead. They have already eaten, actually I feed them as soon as they picked a spot to hang out, and they both ate.

I just wanted to thank everyone on reef central for the info I had picked up. And a special thanks to Bertoni for answering all of my questions that I sent him.

Only pic that I took that came out any good. You can only see the future female and her reflection and if you look close you can see the little guys reflection. They make the 10 gal look huge, cant imagine what theyll look like when they get moved to the 30.

man those are tiny! nice looking set up. you plan on keeping the water level that low?

Im keeping it low because my cat likes to climb up on the chair next to it and stick his face in it to get a drink. He drinks out of a betta fish bowl and not his water dish. So he thinks its a big water dish right now.

The water level is at the point were he has to jump in to get a drink. And hes drank it already and didnt seem to mind the taste. Once I get my cover (tomorrow itll be in Im hoping) Im going to raise the water level.

thats funny! however once you start putting corals in mainly zoos, and other polyps, be extra careful the cat doesnt drink the water. there has been reports of pets dieing from the toxins released into the water. its very rare, but a very real threat! just a heads up.

cool MB4, hangin with RC is better than LFS. we dont wanna sell you anything. lol! the best advice is free, also did you know that clowns are all asexual? meaning no male or female until you have something for them to host. i have one that is starting to host a large feather duster. most captive bred clowns take longer to host than wild caught. tomato clowns will host faster than any other. just a little clown experience/knowledge shared and it didnt cost you $$$. good luck, be patient and most of all...REEF-ON!!!

Yes I knew that they were asexual. Just one of them is a lot bigger than the other already. So I figured that one would eventually be the female.

I have that book by Joyce Wilkerson. Haven't read it all but got most of it done.
