I bought my system used 5 months ago. Its a 90 gallon tank that is 24" deep. My lighting consists of 2 250wattSE 20k MH bulbs with Coralvue Ballasts and my attinics are 2 54watt T5 HO with a GLO ballast. Also I should note that the bulbs are only about 3-4" off the water surface as I'm restricted by my canopy.
I dont know how old my Mh bulbs are am I'm thinking it would be better safe than sorry to change them soon. Can anyone recommend a bulb that is good? What K rating should I get?
All I can say is that everything in the tank seems to be doing great. I added 5 frags on sunday night and they are taking off very well so far. I also added a colt coral 5 weeks ago and its growing like a weed!
