2 tangs

hey guys i was wondering if it would be possible to get two tangs, yellow and purple, while they were small, like 1 inch or so and have them not fight with each other, this is for my 100 gal so they should be ok plus they will be in qt for awhile.

You are always taking a chance when adding 2 tangs. Sometimes it works.....sometimes it doesn't.

I have a yellow and purple Tang and they do fine. Added at the same time in a 55. I know 55, before I knew. They do realy good school if fact in my 450.

I have a yellow and a desjardini that I added together when they were real small, I added 2 regal tangs later and the a tomini tang.
I have not had problems with them. The first ones were from a 18 months ago and they have all been together for a year

I have seen 2 tangs get along just fine in a 90g tank.
I have also seen 2 tangs spend months trying to kill each other in 300g tank.

Is there a chance it will work? Absolutely. Is there a chance you will end up with a dead tang, or have to tear down the rockwork to remove one of them? Absolutely.

It all depends on how you view your livestock, and your tolerance for risk. Most of the better reefers on this board wouldn't risk thier livestock, don't like uncertainty, and wouldn't do it. And I realize "better" is completely subjective, but you are asking for opinions.
