Quick question what else do I need to install in my fuge to stop the chaeto from getting into my return pump section and being sucked into the pump....I know dumb question

Robert

What do you already have? Just baffles I take it. I've seen people just use egg crate or the plastic cutter guard stuff. I've also seen people use that black filter sponge between the baffles but that's usually to catch micro bubbles but it would also stopped the cheato.

Also tank is still a little cloudy even after 6 days, I'm not running a sock currently, I assume this will help clear up the water, thanks.

Yeah I'd definitely run a sock but, it will need to be changed out quite frequently at first. Did you still need that rubble rock?

Yeah man just trying to figure out when I can get over there, I have a overdue visit to MrHarvard as well owe him some cigars!

Rob

If you see me before him I have a maxi jet I've been needing to get to him. Gotta love cigars.

That would be awesome! Thanks for holding on to that for me...if you wanna meet before then I get off around 430 most days and could meet u at rockin reef or creative if it's closer. Thanks again!

I wedged enkamat after my refugium baffle, it keeps all macro algea from going into my return section of the sump and lets pods go through, picked it up at foais.

Also, I recently found a 150w compact flourescent bulb at battiers+ that has boosted my macroalgea growth and it only draws ~30A. I love it and thought I should share. It's 6500k, coupled with a 10" reflector from home depot it and works perfectly
