If you want a nice crisp blue bulb that is not overpowering, try a Reeflux 20K. Better par then the Radium and people that have switched like it better. I love mine. It's really not too blue (for me at least).
Both of my tanks back grounds are blue and on my zoanthid tank I use the Radium 250 watt se bulb and on my main tank I use 14k Hamiltons.
Personally, I like the blue.
can i leave my t-5's along with the 20k's--i was thinking of using sunlight t-5's( a nice white color) to enhance the blue color from the 20k's---will that work

i would have to agree. i dont run mh but have seen several tanks with this bulb. all have great growth and the color is sweet. they were also running t-5 acintic.
