Hey guys, I'm slowly moving back into the hobby. For now I plan to run only one 250 watt HQI bulb. I've always used the 14k Phoenix bulbs but I see that Ushio is making a 14K as well, always been a fan of Ushio bulbs.
Okay, enough BS, I'd like to hear from those that have ran the Ushio bulbs and from those that might have a better suggestion..
I'm looking at the T5's, maybe upgrade to these if I'm not able to maintain temp, so I have a couple questions about them
1) like all of us old guys, I used to run fluorescent's 30 years ago. There wasn't much heat from them. How much heat do the HO T5's put out? Let say 6x54 watt bulbs. Would it compare to 250-300 watts of MH's ?
2) How long do the T5's last ? lets say their on 8-10 hrs a day
