250w MH ??

I just upgraded to 250w MH's (14K bulb) from 175w MH's (10k bulb). Both 250 & 175's are PFO standard ballasts.
Tank Dimensions:
60"x 18"x 20"H

My question is how long should I run the 250w lights to acclimate my corals, or should I just use a screen type material to help diffuse light. Any other suggestions are welcome also.To me the 10k 175w lighting looks much stronger so I don't know if they even need to be acclimated to the 250w lights.

the difference that you se between the lights you see is because the bulbs are different kelvin temperature

I know the difference between types of bulbs (kelvin)
My question is in the acclimation of my corals to the new 250w lighting.
