3 months wait but i finally got a new mantis

i picked up my new mantis last night after a grueling 3 months wait and boy is it a whopper. its topping the scales at a massive 12" long and has just taken over the tank with brute force alone!

actually it got in the tank, saw the hermits and shat itself and has hidden in a shell for the last 24 hours since. WOW

actually it is 1" long and a light blood red but it is definetly starting to colour up. you can see the patterns appearing on it body. it a smasher altough it could hurt much right now but im just happy to finally get 1 at last.

What's up with Agilecrux, how come I havn't seen him come up again.
I am wondering if he still collect Mantis for us, I am still waiting for his new Mantis.

Agilecrux should have some amntis in about 2 weeks and they'll be some nice ones, anywhere from a hearty 2 inches to a full bodied 6". You may want to email him in case he doesn't post in the next couple days.

a reef keeper over here has told me a good way of getting new mantis, contact my local prawn trawler. he reckons they pull them in all the time and he used to buy them direct from the trawler at a bargain price.
i might look down this avenue in the future to find some nice mantis of o get stuck finding one ( i currently getting mantis thrown at me )
