300 Fixer up'er Build.....

gittin ready to try my overflow idea......it's gunna be a full siphon controlled with gate valve's...for noise reductionwith with a sponge at the top of the overflow....under a piece of eggcrate

Then......once I git everything running..clog both drain's.....mark the water level in the sump where the tank is about to overflow..........Then set my return pump at that level.......and Forgitaboutit....No Floodin....I got a simmilar set up on my 120.........My biggest issue is rinsing out my sponge's...which I really dont mind....anyway.........cant wait to try this out.....
 
How many people did you need to move that tank around? What do you think it weighs empty?

Just curious, I know florida can be humid to begin with but any plans for humidity control in the tank room?
 
i had 6 people to git the beast up.....dont know what it weigh's empty...I'd say around 400 lbs...it's in house..A/C is on in the summer...cooling fans in the winter...should keep it in the high 70's....that's what my 120 run's at....gunna be mostly fish...some monti's on top...low lighting...175 metal haldlite's....
