- replace the fans in my light fixture (I want them super quiet!)

Here are some photos of the tank's progress

Wow now that is a nice looking setup you got going there!

And I'm jealous of your lights, I only have a 4 bulb :(

You did your research too, all your fish are gonna stay pretty small.

Lookin good!:smokin:

Thanks for the comments

I went out last night and got some SientX computer fans and replaced the stock ones in the fixture now it practically makes no noise.

Almost everything is done I am right now makeing RODI water and filling the tank :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably gong to mix the salt soon but I will not get live rock in there until next week, as I am going away for the weekend and don't have time to get some.

Here are some more photos.

Looks very nice, good planning one thing the return maybe to low in the tank when you shut down the return pump it will create a siphon which from the size of your sump it may not be able to handle it.

I all ready thought of that :D
I drilled two holes in the lock line just below the water line so the siphon will brake before my sump will overflow :p

Thanks, i forgot about that, i have to do the same to mine, below the water line as to not make a venturi causing air bubbles. I going to add that to do list next time i remove my canopy.

very nice setup so far. im interested to see just how you mounted those lunar lights in the NEP. i have the same fixture and was looking at getting some of those lunar lights as well. i wasnt sure how to mount them though.

For now I just taped them in under the splash shield near the back bulb slightly angled to the front. I am going to see how well they work that way tonight.

I am currently in the process of mixing salt for the tank. SG is currently around 1.025 it is a little high so I am probably going to have to do some water changes with fresh water. I already have the sand for the tank and I hope to have live rock in there by Wednesday! I plan on putting in the sand after the live rock so nothing will topple over my aquascaping by digging.

Also last night the moon lights looked really good. I am probably going to leave them taped where they are.

Not much to report right now. Tank is filled with salt water (SG is still at 1.025 ppm I think I might try and leave it there). I also decided to put the sand in and a few shells. The tank is super cloudy right now but should clear up in a couple of days just in time for me to pick up my live rock on Friday! :D.

For Live rock I am planning on getting 20lb of Walt Smith Premium Live Rock(http://ottawainverts.com/shopping/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=166) and 20lb of "Green" DIY Rock. (http://ottawainverts.com/shopping/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=80)

The DIY rock will reduce my costs and provide a good base and interesting aquascaping to put the Walt Smith Live rock on.

Here are some more photos the tank is still a little cloudy after I put the sand in.
