4 stage ro unit

I am trying to set up a 4 stage RO unit and ran into a problem. The fourth canister (looks like a uv filter kind-of) uses some kind of oddball size element. I am probably going to have to look into getting one on-line. Now, I have replaced the first three elements and the last one took a 5 micron filter. Is it possible to run the system like this for now? I would leave the fourth canister in place, just leave it empty for now. Any ideas?

Is the fourth canister the RO membrane? Mine is a 4 stage with a DI (fifth stage). The RO membrane is the fourth stage with the first 3 stages being a sediment filter and two carbon block filters. My bet is that your fourth stage is your RO membrane -- the hub of the "RO" unit.
