40 gallon breeder over flow ?

I just bought the 40 breeder and replacing the 33 gallon semi cube with it. I have a Lifereef 600 gph overflow box on the cube and I do not want to use it again, so I am looking for options for a DIY overflow. What would you guys recommend and why. Thanks in advance
