I have a bowfront, and yes, if I ever get another tank, I won't get a bowfront, despite how cool they look. With that said, what I plan on doing is actually building the hood rectangular, and then basically cutting a curved plywood insert to go inside the hood and act as a lip where the curved front of the tank rests. Here's a very rough graphic of what it would look like from the bottom:
Anyway, I haven't actually built it yet, but I'm thinking this would be an easier option than actually making the hood curved. I figure that since my stand is rectangular as well, it should work just fine.
