5 gallon bucket sink

I did not have a floor drain in my fish room nor did I have room for one of those laundry sinks. But I needed a way to wash and clean things without using my kitchen sink.
So I ran a length of pipe through my wall and out to my driveway for a drain and built a sink out of a 5 gallon bucket. I tapped into my water line that goes to my RODI system to make a faucet. Works like a charm.

While that is a nice idea, it looks like to me you would of had the room for a small laundry sink in this blue room. Unless it would have been a real squeeze.

The laundry sinks are 21 inches wide from rim to rim.
There is only 36 inches between my wall and the saltwater mixing barrel. The mixing barrel is 23 inches wide.
So if the sink is 21 inches, that only left me with 15 inches to get my Saltwater barrel out of the rack for cleaning. Not gonna happen.
The 5 gallon bucket is only 12 inches at its widest point. So that leaves me with 24 inches. The 23 inch barrel slides right out.

Ahh, I see now. A better view of the room makes more sense as well. Nice job on the bucket sink.

I like that barrel stand. Looks like a pretty space efficient way to manage them. The sink is a cool idea as well. Should work out well, but I'd be kind of worried about using that ball valve very often with the pipe unsupported like that. Seems like an easy way to end up with a leak.
