55 Gal - Live Rock

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post...

Could anyone with a standard 4 foot 55 gal aquarium please post a picture with the number of lbs and type of live rock?

My tank is still in the planning stages...just trying to add up total cost, and would like to see what different amounts of live rock look like.

Thanks,
Mike

Yeah...I know what is recommended, but I am really interested in seeing what that looks like - especially different densities of rocks. Got any pics?

:)

Here is 80lbs in a 4 foot tank...

I ended up taking out a good amount of it though and putting it in my sump so there would be a lot more room for my fish to swim and for corals down the road.

reef or agressive?

I've had FO tanks in the past, this one will be a reef tank. I've been reading and reading and reading for about a month now, and slowly but surely buying equipment with help from reading and asking questions on various forums.

In probably another month...the first life that goes in will be the live rock, so just trying to plan HOW MUCH I'm going to get - I'm sure it will be 50-60 lbs, but I just had no idea what 50-60 lbs of live rock LOOKS like...so I figured the "photography" group might be able to help.

:)

Ah...that helps - 80 lbs is probably more than I'd want.

Thanks!

are you sure about the 55 gal? I've heard bad things about how far back that thing goes back (from the front it's pretty shallow.) Thus making you do a rock "wall" which is bad for circulation. Maybe a 65 gallon? or better yet a 75.
