Hi i have a 55 gallon tank everything was going fine until a total tank crash when it was about 4 months old :uhoh3: so i started again slow and but hermits in nassa snails then damsels I want to take them out soon and get "show" fish any recommedations that won't outgrow the tank and eats most foods and it is a fish only tank

IMO tangs in a 55 is not recommended because of the length of the tank.
What type of inverts do you like? There are many

I love shrimp crabs are cool i don't like worms but everything else is fine but i don't know about care like starfish or urchins

Even a small tang would get real aggressive in that tank. Clown fish make great show fish and there is a variety to choose from. Steer clear of urchins and starfish for now. Cleaner shrimp are very entertaining. They are bold and nothing really bothers them.

Get a basic clean up crew and start there. Mexican Turbo snails, Trochus snails and scarlet hermits would be my suggestion.

Fuzzy dwarf or zebra lion
Dwarf angel: flame, lemonpeel, or multicolor are all showstoppers
Nearly endless amount of wrasses to choose from
Marine Betta
Flame or longnosed hawkfish

I agree with flasher wrasses. I also think a midas blenny is a great addition. they have a very unique look, are a great color and are very active.

I don't know a lot about lionfish but this says no shrimp & lots of other good info. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-11/fm/feature/

I had always thought that people keep lionfish in species-only tanks but looking around it seems like people keep fish with them that are bigger than them. I would imagine your problem will be that in the 55 you can't keep a lot of bigger-than-lionfish fish. So if I were you I would just have a lionfish tank then, and no shrimp.

I'm sure someone who knows a lot more about lionfish could help you better than me however

Dwarf angel (potters, coral beauty, or flame)
a clown pair
zebra dartfish (at least 2, since they like to shoal)
McCosker's Flasher wrasses
Sharpnose puffer (but I wouldn't add shrimp if you get one)
firefish

A 55 is going to be too small for a tang or foxface. You really are better off with snails for algae control. They won't completely eliminate it, but they will keep it mowed down.
