60 gal cube acrylic tank thickness

Im wondering what thickness should i need for a 60 gal acrylic tank 24x24x24 size ? It will have a support rim around top.

If you dont mind a little bow both tanks can be built with 3/8''material as long as you incorporate a minimum 4'' euro brace on both.

If it were me. I would spend the extra $ and use 1/2'' material with the 4'' euro brace

whats a euro brace look like that is made any pic where i can see one

A euro-brace is a full sheet of acrylic welded to the top of the tank, then you cut a hole out of the center of the sheet leaving a solid 3''-6'' band around the entire perimeter of the tank.

In this pic the euro-brace is on the bottom of the tank. (just because I welded the euro on before I welded the top on)


Here is a couple that are right side up.
It is the piece on top with the hole cut out.
