i have a 6080 tunze in a 75 gallon sps reef
I was wondering could I put the turbell on a 8 hour timer cycle
8 on with lights and 16 off
would this have any adverse affects on the unit

This is fine. It can be off aas many as 24 times in a day as long as each on cycle lasts at least 1 hr for proper cooling and clutch retraction.
