6095 Wires exposed

The 6095 pump is working perfectly. However, when performing maintenance the black cord has opened up and the other cords are visible. Will the pump be ok? This is happening where the cord goes into the motor.

IF the cord is submerged I would NOT use it.
Water could wick its way down inside.
Roger will be able to help more on its use.
