6100's and wavebox

I just got 4 6100's from my uncle for $500 after his 400 gallon cracked. I have a 120 and I think this is to much flow.

After browsing through this section of the forum I am leaning towards selling 2 of my 6100's and buying a wave box.

So for a 120 I would have 2 6100's, multi-controller and a wavebox. What do you think?

That is a lot of flow unless the tank is SPS only, I would probably buy the smaller 6000 transformers and downgrade the pumps.

The tank is going to be SPS only ... Is it worth it to even buy the wavebox or should I just keep 2 6100 and sell the other 2. Or should I just buy a wavebox?

Which is better anyways the wavebox or the streams?

It isn't an either or situation. The Streams are necessary to create a directional flow, the wavebox adds a nice visual effect and helps lift detritus and it increases polyp extension. If you are going SPS I would stick with the 2 6100's and maybe add a wavebox.

I have a rectangle 180G with corner overflows.

It has 2 6100's and a wavebox. It's a perfect combination.

Having 4 6100's in your 120, I think will be overkill.

I have 105G 48X18X29 (LxWxH)
I will have a mostly SPS tank, but will also have some Softies.
The plan was to run a wavebox (already have with light sensor) only plus my return from sump/fuge. Are you saying that is not going to work? If not what size stream would I need? And would I have one controller for each? Or would it be better to get some sort of multi controller to control both?

If your return flow is strong it should be OK but a wavebox flow is a rocking flow with no direction and I don't think it is sufficient by itself. I would add at least a 6060 Stream and preferably a 6000 with a single controller.
