6200.50 Magnet Holder

I have a 180 g Oceanic glass tank which has 1/2" thick glass. My twin 6080's came in today with one 6200.50 magnet holder. A second magnet is still waiting to get here.

I remember you saying I needed the 6080.50 magnet holder for my 6080 stream.

Can I use the 6200.50 magnet holder for my 6080?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can use them but it is stronger than you need and to avoid damaging the glass you need to carefully slide them together and not snap them together. The 6080.50 will be here next week and all orders will be filled.

Roger, I thought this was more than I needed. I will return it to John at Global here in Houston and get 2 6080.50's instead. If you can follow up with John, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks again for all your help Roger.

How do you slide the magnet?
The rubber feet really keep them in place.
I thought that too, They are impossible to move unless you detach them all the way, i was thinking of taking off the rubber feet and glueing felt to the outside magnet for easier movement so i can clean behind them and easier adjustments.

You don't actually let the outside one contact the glass but while holding one magnet inside you slide the outside magnet down into position rather than click them together.

Ron, I am not sure what you mean by follow up? It is their decision to take a return as I do not take returns unless something is defective, what they take back is theirs and completely their decision. If you mean to send them the magnets I will do this next week when more arrive they have a standing order.

Roger, I contacted John this morning and will return the 6200.50 magnet to him unopened in exchange for a 6080.50. I need 2 magnets for my 6080 streams and wanted to be sure you and him were communicating. I told him you would be filling all magnet orders shortly. John said he would be calling you sometime today.

Thanks again for your quick reply.
