Well I finally got all of my bills paid off and decided that it's now finally the time to upgrade my tank, the 20g just isnt cutting it anymore for me. I'm going to be picking up my tank on tuesday, it'll have a corner overflow and starfire glass on the front.

List of Equipment:
20g sump (old tank) drilled for auto top-off
5g top off bucket
G1 or G2 skimmer, probably the G2
250w Ushio 10K MH
2 24" T5 Actinics
misc. pumps/powerheads

I picked up some 2x4's today and started work on the stand. All of the frame work is complete, just need to put the outter shell on it to make it look nice. I'll probably have one big door in the front (no center brace) so I can access the skimmer and top-off bucket easily. Here is a picture of what I have done so far, took about 3.5-4 hours to cut the wood, make the stand, and paint it.

Cost of materials so far:
2x4x8's $18.34
3" deck screws $5.78 (Ace is a ripoff)
Paint & Bruch $11.51

Let me know what you think so far. I'll have more pictures this weekend of the canopy.

Started work on the canopy today and got most of it done. Just need to cover the sides and get a piece of plywood for the top and it's done except for staining the rest.

Looks good so far, my brother built his own stand and canopy for his 75 and loves it. Good Luck hope it turns out how you like!
