Do I have to have the pumps connected to the 7096 for configuration or can I remove the controller for programming? My aquarium is in the basement and computer is upstairs. No laptop to connect up to it.
You do not need the pumps connected to configure it, wavemode though can be impossible to tune though without the pumps running in the tank so you can see what setting makes a wave. For all other uses it would make no difference.
