Thanks to Manny ( Thesaent14) i finally got 99% of the scratches out of this tank.

This is what it looked like when it was for sale

and this is after using a buffing wheel and jewellers rouge on a high speed drill per Manny.

I have been busy setting it up and would appreciate any suggestions.
More pics to come.

I added a 20 gallon as a sump/refugium and i had the return feeding the skimmer but i later reconfigured it to have the return split.

Here is the begining stages of my canopy in retrospect i should have used a heavier gauge aluminium, as it has a slight flex

Got a great deal on 90lbs of arogocrete rock form Pat, they were already pre-drilled so i decided to put them on acrylic rods.

Armando, i have fittings in the bulkheads ready to go, i left it as an option in case i wanted to get an OM Squirt.

Yep, i had to swap out the 1200 for a 900. i'm looking into getting a couple Koralia 3 and use the mods for something else.

I struggled with 10 different grades of micro mesh sand paper and got it looking half way decent but once you put a light over the tank all the hair line scratches were obvious. Thaesant told me to go to Big Lots and pick up a buffing wheel, they had a kit with the buffing wheel and three grades of jewelers rouge.
I hooked it up to my high speed drill applied the rouge to the buffer and the scratches came out easily.

Sonic,
Thanks! I appreciate the encouragement.

Pandomime,
I have put a few pieces of rock from my nano to help with the cycle. I'm going to transfer everthing from my nano as it's overgrown.
I have a toadstool leather thats blocking the light to the corals below it.
