thanks, everything that i got from you is doing great , except the xenia, all but one either blew away or got eaten....

Looks good Jordan! How is the 125 coming?

Was it the red sea xenia? If so, I can give you a BUNCH of heads of it if you like. Let me know, I will put a piece of rubble in the middle of mine for it to move too.

THANKS!the 125 is coming along good, we ordered the RO unit, the stand is done, the sump is almost ordered, the piping is all bought, we just need to get the sump and return pumps (any suggestions for external return pumps that do about 600-700 GPH?)

the tuperware tub is a little frag tub i set up so i couple shrooms wouldnt be desterbed while attaching to a rock

Looks very nice Jordan excellent work!!!
Don't rush the 125 you will be happier if you plan wisely!!!

ya i really want toget it up and running but we are going to buy a puppy first then start working on the rest of the stuff for the 125

Hey Jordan
Sweet zoas dude. Great pictures too.
lol you always take pics w/ your water level down.... :)

Also, I think you may want an external return pump that's pumps a lot more than 600-700 gph.
The faster your pump can take your water down through the sump, (and through your filtration/protein skimmer) the cleaner your water will be. ;)

stephany-omg that always happens, this time it is just i didnt get water this week b/c the ro machine is coming soon

thanks!

im trying to get as many zoos as i can, so if anyone has frags of any wried/ cool looking zoos let me know

I disagree about the "faster = cleaner" philosophy.

The most efficient way to skim a tank is to make sure that the water actually goes through the skimmer between the tank and the fuge. While most of us don't have the luxury of a skimmer plumbed in line like that. The next best thing would be to make sure that as little water as possible bypasses the skimmer in the sump. This means that around 600 - 700 gph is fine for the overflow & return.

The real issue is how much flow is needed to provide adequate current. 600 - 700 gph probably isn't going to give you the flow you want in the tank long term. I would advise that you consider a closed loop, wavebox, powerheads or a larger return pump to deal with this issue.

yes, we are going to have 2-3 powerheads, and the reason i want a 600-700 gallon return pump is that the rick at natures said that the overflows can only do about 700 GPH
