Worth a try. ;)

If you say so.

Some people might think it is worth a try, but for me and my business, we would not even risk it. I'm not even sure of what would happen if you got caught but I would not even want to be put in that position. :eek2:

Yes I replied to all PM's.

And no it is not worth taking the chance going across the border fellow reefers. The store is happy to coordinate a CITES for those serious buyers/hobbiests.

It was neat to meet those who travelled to our neck of the woods to see these corals. Some travelled 9 hours!!! Impressive. These guys are more screwed up than me - and that's saying something :)

i saw that before i read this post - good to go now :)

Since USFW is closed this weekend the only way to bring them back would be illegally. Maybe the the USFW should be notified of all this. Jen & Eric You should see them they are impressive :)

They let you bring that stuff across the border? I had to get CITIES Permits, Fish & Wild Life Import/Export License and all kinds of stuff to get them here legally:confused:

Let's not forget Wildlife Port of Entry Permits.

Well i was joking about racing there, As you can see i posted shortly after.

You can't bring corals across the Canada/US border?

Eitherway... if you do smuggle them.. remember that they can have sharp skeletons so don't put them too place...sensitive ;)

Went to Windsor, and asked about local stores up there, and you do need a special permit, but I have never had my car searched or anything. It would be very easy to just go up there and load up your car with stuff, and come back, basically Windsor is only for partying and not much else so the border people do not even care.

Qualified buyers are getting their corals shipped to the US complete with CITES permits. Nobody in their right mind would risk smuggling these across the border based on the cost of them, and because the store is willing to get the permits for you...

100 dollars and a months time ad 90 bucks evertime you need to bring somethng thru for the inspector charge. :) Its not impossable but its a pita.

can someone pm me too about this link?
very curious to see whats goin on and what the hype is all about!
