A couple new, yet to be named ORA corals I just picked up

The left most coral in this shot looks like A. tenuis to me (very similar to the "Paletta blue"). The second pic below looks like either A. tenuis or A. kimbeensis, I'm guessing a tenuis as well.

Hmm, I've been growing this 'new' blue A. tortuosa for a while. Now it has an official marketing name 'Roscoe's Blue Tort'. Fun! Mind you, in German, Tort means 'cake'!

By the way, it will tend to brown-out in a high nitrate environment, otherwise is turns turquoise with blue tips and is a slow grower until it has a good base (like most A. tortuosa). There is, also, a pale grey tortuosa (may actually be A. horrida, as the tentacles are often out during the day) over here. Makes for an interesting contrast.

sweet birdsnest steave. i almost bought that exact one.
i was thinking of getting one today also
didnt you pick up a Hyasin (sp?) bird there a while ago?

I haven't seen ORA list it as a tort... My understanding is ORA calls it "Roscoe's Blue Acropora"

Here's a few shots of some of the newer ORA corals:

ORA Deepwater Bali
I only think they have released one
ORA Australian Delicate, ORA Blue millepora, and ORA Green Birdsnest are in this pic as well.

Looks like every ORA tort I have ever seen when they first come in..

I agree.. We get in ORA orders alot, and every ORA tort we get looks like that ;)

Here's a shot of the ORA Blue Tortuosa ... "Cali Tort"
shot was taken shortly after arrival.

There are some similarities but it is definitely a different coral. I kind of think "Roscoe's" looks like a cross between "Chip's" and ORA's Blue tort.
