I have a teammate who has a Rebel who lets me borrow it when I need (another friend has the 100mm macro lens if I want to borrow it ) so an all around use camera with some macro ability is what I'm looking for aka the A620 and then I saw that the A700 had been released.

I believe I'll probably stick with the A620 and go with an adapter from LensMateOnline and a Raynox DCR-150 OR the Raynox DCR-250 along with a telefoto lens similar to this thread to achieve my results: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=751367
Just wanted to have some camera geeks check it out and confirm that I won't need any of the extras (not many that I think I would benefit from besides the extra .5" on the LCD) of the A700.
To add pics to the thread (pics always make a thread useful )-Here are some hand held shots I took with the Rebel with the 18-55mm lens in manual focus (not the best but decent for me esp. with no tripod):
