A620 or A700?

I have a teammate who has a Rebel who lets me borrow it when I need (another friend has the 100mm macro lens if I want to borrow it :)) so an all around use camera with some macro ability is what I'm looking for aka the A620 and then I saw that the A700 had been released.

I believe I'll probably stick with the A620 and go with an adapter from LensMateOnline and a Raynox DCR-150 OR the Raynox DCR-250 along with a telefoto lens similar to this thread to achieve my results: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=751367

Just wanted to have some camera geeks check it out and confirm that I won't need any of the extras (not many that I think I would benefit from besides the extra .5" on the LCD) of the A700.

To add pics to the thread (pics always make a thread useful :))-Here are some hand held shots I took with the Rebel with the 18-55mm lens in manual focus (not the best but decent for me esp. with no tripod):

Those are great photos and thats a great thread too. Still haven't decided on a A620 or the S2 IS or now the S3 IS.

Haven't looked into the S series much. What are your thoughts on it vs. the A620?

Thanks for the kind words on the pics.

Well the S2 IS has a internal stabilizer which takes clearer movies and pictures without a tripod. The S2 also has better movies(stereo, zoom in movie mode). The downside is that it is bigger, more $, and its picture quality is not as good from what I read but still very good. I think thats about it.
