Purchased a small Acan Lord colony to add to the bottom portion of my reef tank which is predominately SPS. There is a lot of flow so there are only a few spots in my tank that dont "blow" around the polyps. Everything else in the tank looks great but the polyps look somewhat shriveled (retracted). Only other LPS in the tank is a Euphyllia Divisa which is doing great.
I had it a low light with medium flow at first and looked ok but wasnt fully expanded. I moved it to higher light and seem to retract a lot, so I moved it to an area of lower flow and lower light. It looks as though it hasn't recoverd and is somewhat shriveled.
My question is does anyone keep Acan with high flow SPS tanks. Do I just have to much flow to keep it "happy". Too much lighting
Lighting is 250 W Phoenix 14K with Ice Cap Ballasts
Flow: Ehem 1262 return, 2 Tunze 6100's. 120 gallon tank.
AlK 10.5
Cal 460
PH 8.3
Phosphate (Undetectable by Salifert)
No3 0.2 ppm
