acrilic thickness recommended

Acuatica

I want to build a 150 long 50 wide 85 high aquarium, so i want to know the minimum recommended thickness for this proyect. measures are in cms. The tank is intended for fresh water setup, so holes and overflow boxes are not an issue. Thanks in advance.

18mm would work well, it might bow 3-5mm but not terrible. If you can get 24-25mm at a reasonable price - would be better, obviously :)

I use Weld-on 40 but I hear folks use #16 with success. Plain ol' PVC pipe cement works but don't use with extruded acrylic as the chance of crazing is very high. I've also used Weld-on 1807 in the past and that works for gluing PVC sheet to acrylic sheet but never tried it with PVC fittings though I'd <gulp> *assume* results to be similar.
