Acro Bugs or other thye of bug? PICS

Hi guys,

I've been having a big problem keeping Acro's and BN's in my tank. They both STN/RTN, 0% success rate. The tissue narcosis can take 1 day to 1 week, depending on the species. In the past 2 months I have lost about 6 Acro frags and 3 BN's.

Monti's, Clam, Zooz's, Plates, Pipe organ..chalice are all doing very well

I thought the problem might have been coral dips but now I'm not so sure any more. ( Please see previous Coral Dip thread http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1798522 )

This BN has been in my tank for about 2 weeks. It is obviously dead. What are these dots that I am seeing, is it what ever is left of tissue or some sort of bug?

Thanks for the reply! I was leaning towards that as well since I've never seeing anything on the the Acros.

I'm out of ideas. I wish I could find out what is causing this!

Perhaps ALK swings? Check it a few times a day, over the period of a week.

Hi Andy,

I had ALK swings in the past when I was using non Ionicaly balanced products.

I've been using ESV for about 6 weeks and it is very steady. I need 60ML's daily and rather than doing 60ml's once per day I dose 30 am and pm. So yeah, it's very steady.

Calcium / alk is a liitle low. Watch the specific gravity as well. Are you sure the reading is accurate.
