Acro ID help please

Just Keep Swimming
Can anyone ID this acro. Was completely brown when aquired and has since grown and colored nicely. When it 1st started coloring it went to all light blue and has since developed a somewhat greener base with light blue growth. I know how everyone loves a good id challenge so maybe some ideas to look into for match up purposes. Thanks all.

Haha I like that. In fact if I can't id it may just end up as the wouldn't.ya.want acro.lol
to bad you weren't in chico. Im always down to hand out frags to put let's say an insurance policy on my pieces.

Sweet reference page. Thanks. It seems to resemble this quite a bit

yes, the overall growth pattern is similar (ie arborescent) however check your colony's radial corallites. Pulchra and those in the same class (millepora, aspera) have radial corallites with a prominent lower edge described as labellate (or lip like) with a missing upper edge.

formosa has fully circular or tubular radial corallites. Distinctly different.

I look at overall growth pattern, character and size of branches, then axial corallites, then radial corallites. If you have the skeleton the base of the branches also is unique.

What I do have a problem with is how a A hoeksemai differs from the pulchra family...

Ya the droid doesn't do justice. Try n get the buddy over withe the big cam for a better shot n well try again.
Dang Jcw. Sorry to hear the hecticness in your tank. Your responses show you've done your research hence my excitment to check out your sps. Zap those lil suckers:fun2:

I find acros interesting. Unfortunately it doesn't necessarily translate into a successful tank. ;) Not yet at least.

Scratch that. Looked deeper and growth is alot alike but color hasn't gotten there yet though there is faint red/purple in with the light blue on the new growth.
And jcw practice makes perfect and you get experience right after you need it :) always.lol my 1st sps tank so still learning about them. That red dragon in your avatarlooks sweet if I don't say so myself.
