Acrylic Sump Heater Question

Hello all.....
I'm looking at an Acrylic Sump for my tank build. Is anyone concerned about the heater/heaters being in contact with the acrylic? Maybe I'm being too cautious.
Thanks for looking.
:hmm4:

I think I found a soultion, basically PVC pipe with holes where the heaters sit. The PVC is suspended across the sump with a few elbows. The magic of PVC :)
I'll be working on that in the future.
Thanks all.....

I like the Titanium Finnex HMA heaters. They come with a plastic cover to protect it from touching anything,

I just switched to the titanium BRS heaters. I like them so far, but switching my sump to an acrylic. I made a homemade sump that I'm not happy with.

The melting point of acrylic is 320*F. Melting the sump will be the least of your worries if that happens.

Good to know tacocat! As a Volunteer FireFighter for over 35 years, I should have thought about that. I'm glad you checked for me!
Maybe now I can concentrate on making it look like a clean install.
