Acrylic tanks & wavebox

Is there a work around for acrylic tanks to use the wave box, were having the space above the box is not possible.

It will not work very well if it is not possible to have space above the box.

If you still want to do this, then buy a dremel tool, a few bits and cut the overflow teeth lower. Not reccomended over a full tank w/o proper safety precautions.
