Adding a drain in collection cup for euro-reef

Has anyone added a drain in the collection cup in a Euro-Reef RC-180. I would like to drill out the bottom with a hole and add a drain. Can this be done without happering the performance.

I am not familliar with that skimmer, but I have drilled several skimmer cups.

It should not effect the performance. I would not use anything smaller than 3/8" pipe and tubing.

Here is the one on my A200. I used 1/2"

is the one you drilled out a euro-reef? and where did you get that swivel connector.
